Overview
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Metalworker / Fabricator & Brass Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for crafting, assembling, and finishing high-quality metal components with a focus on brass applications. Duties
- Use various hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts with precision.
- Perform TIG/MIG welding and other welding techniques to join metals securely and accurately.
- Fabricate sheet metal components by measuring, cutting, bending, and assembling according to specifications and on site.
- Work with brass materials to create detailed decorative or functional pieces, applying specialised techniques as needed.
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly.
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the fabrication process to maintain high standards of craftsmanship.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and properly handling tools and materials.
Requirements
- Proven experience in metalworking or fabrication, with a strong focus on brass and sheet metal projects.
- Proficiency in TIG/MIG welding, welding, and the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Mechanical knowledge of metal properties, fabrication processes, and assembly techniques.
- Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and perform basic math calculations for measurements.
- Familiarity with sheet metal work, including cutting, bending, forming, and finishing surfaces.
- Strong attention to detail combined with excellent manual dexterity for intricate work.
- Basic understanding of safety procedures related to welding and metal fabrication environments.
