About the Role
As a Food Production Operative, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient manufacture and packaging of food products. Working as part of our production team, you will help ensure products are produced to the highest standards of quality, food safety, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of food manufacturing and packaging operations.
- Weigh, blend, pack, and label products according to production specifications.
- Prepare finished goods for dispatch.
- Carry out manual handling duties, including lifting products and materials weighing between 5kg and 25kg.
- Follow food safety, quality, allergen, and hygiene procedures at all times.
- Complete production records accurately and legibly.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards within your work area.
- Carry out quality checks to ensure products meet customer specifications.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP requirements, and company procedures.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets.
What We're Looking ForEssential Skills & Experience
- Good spoken and written English.
- Ability to follow written instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Flexible approach to duties and workload.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including manual handling.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food production, packing, warehouse, or factory environments.
- Basic computer skills.
- Understanding of food safety, HACCP, allergen management, and quality systems.

- Day shift working hours: 08:00 - 16:30, Monday to Friday.
- 40-hour working week.
- Two paid 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
