Delivery Driver for BLAKES MEATS
Location: Brighton
Salary: Competitive Salary & overtime paid, Wage increase after 6 months & 12 months (based on performance and conduct).
Hours: 40 Working hours a week over 5 days on a rota (Mon- Sat)
Type: Day shift - Full time permanent position
Blakes Meats is a trusted catering butcher, known for delivering high-quality meat products with exceptional service across the region. We’re now looking for a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our busy team. You’ll be the face of the business, delivering orders accurately and maintaining great relationships with our customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load and check customer orders efficiently for daily routes
- Delivery of goods to customers in a timely and professional manner
- Handing invoices to customers and checking off order at customer site and ensuring satisfaction with products delivered
- Communicate any payment issues to Accounts and Operations
- Collect returns and complete required paperwork
- Communicating with customers any orders that are likely to be late due to unforeseen circumstances
- Report any damage or maintenance requirements of vehicle to Operations Team Leader
- Perform heavy lifting tasks as needed during loading and unloading processes
- Ensure vehicles are in good working order, clean and presentable on a daily basis
- Ensure professional appearance including personal hygiene and correct attire
- Providing support within depot as and when required, including keeping areas tidy to support deport operations prior to leaving the deport for daily deliveries.
What We’re Looking For:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Physically fit – able to lift and carry heavy items
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers
- Reliable, professional, and presentable
- Previous delivery experience preferred, but not essential
- Knowledge of van driving techniques and routes in the area preferable

Pay: £26,436.80-£28,516.80 per year
