Hours: Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm
Holiday: 25 days per annum
We are looking for an experienced and organised Legal Administrator or Legal Secretary to join our Residential Property team in Margate.
Working alongside one of our conveyancing lawyers, you will provide dedicated secretarial and administrative support, becoming an integral part of their practice. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with clients and colleagues in a busy, professional environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing correspondence, contracts and legal documents
- Opening new client files and completing client onboarding procedures
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors
- Answering telephone and email enquiries
- Maintaining accurate electronic files and document management systems
- Assisting with all aspects of residential conveyancing administration, including post-completion work
- Providing day-to-day support to help manage a busy caseload
About you
Our ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience as a Legal Administrator, Legal Secretary or in a similar legal support role
- Ideally have experience in residential conveyancing, although this is not essential
- Have excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Be able to manage a varied workload and prioritise effectively
- Have excellent communication and client care skills
- Be confident using Microsoft Office and case management systems
- Be proactive, reliable and able to work independently while supporting a busy lawyer
