Our client is a highly respected, independent Quantity Surveying and Cost Consultancy practice with an established reputation for delivering exceptional professional services across the commercial, residential, healthcare, education and infrastructure sectors throughout Northern Ireland and the wider UK.
As part of a planned growth strategy and long-term succession plan, an outstanding opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the business as a future leader.
This role is ideally suited to a commercially minded professional who has reached a stage in their career where they are seeking greater influence, responsibility and a genuine pathway to Directorship.
Unlike many larger corporate consultancies, this position offers direct access to decision-makers, exposure to business strategy and the opportunity to play a pivotal role in the future direction of the practice.
The Opportunity
Working closely with the existing Directors, you will take ownership of key client relationships, lead project delivery and contribute to the continued growth of the business.
You will be given the platform, support and autonomy to develop into a senior leadership position, with a clearly defined route towards Directorship for the right individual.
Responsibilities will include:
- Leading professional quantity surveying and cost management services across a varied project portfolio
- Managing key client accounts and developing long-term relationships
- Delivering cost planning, procurement advice and commercial management services
- Contract administration and post-contract cost control
- Supporting business development initiatives and identifying new opportunities
- Mentoring and developing junior surveying staff
- Contributing to strategic planning and business growth objectives
- Assisting in the development of service offerings and market presence
Candidate Profile
We are interested in speaking with ambitious professionals who can demonstrate:
- Degree-qualified Quantity Surveyor
- MRICS qualified or nearing chartership
- Strong consultancy-side experience within a professional practice environment
- Proven ability to manage projects and clients independently
- Excellent commercial awareness and business acumen
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
- Leadership potential and a desire to contribute beyond project delivery
- A genuine ambition to progress towards Directorship
