Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Senior Night Care Assistant to join our compassionate care team. Duties
- Oversee the safety and well-being of residents during night hours, responding promptly to any emergencies or needs.
- Supervise and support junior staff members on shift, providing guidance and leadership to ensure smooth night operations.
- Implement and review individual care plans, ensuring all resident needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
- Maintain accurate records of resident observations, incidents, and care activities using IT systems efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with day staff during handovers to ensure continuity of care and update on any overnight developments.
- Assist residents with personal care tasks as needed, respecting their dignity and preferences.
- Conduct regular checks on the premises, including safety audits and security patrols, to uphold a secure environment.
Requirements
- Previous supervising or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting.
- Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Valid driving license preferred for transportation needs or emergency purposes.
- Experience in developing or following care plans tailored to individual residents’ needs.
- Proficiency in using IT systems for record keeping and reporting purposes.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to residential care environments.
- Compassionate attitude combined with the ability to remain calm under pressure during night shifts.

Pay: £12.71 per hour
