Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Front of House Staff to join our small and new cafe.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver exceptional guest experiences in a fast paced setting. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service, ensuring smooth operations, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Previous experience in hospitality, food preparation, or related fields is not preferred, but a positive attitude and excellent communication skills are essential.
Part Time / Permanent Role
Hours : 10am - 3pm
10 hours a week.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive guest services to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Take orders accurately and serve food and beverages efficiently
- Assist with cleaning tables and washing dishes
- Assist with food preparation and meal service as required, maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the front of house area, including dining spaces and service stations
- Manage cash register operations, process payments accurately, and handle transactions with integrity
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to serve meals in a timely manner
- Uphold health and safety regulations at all times, including proper food handling procedures
- Contribute to a positive team environment by supporting colleagues during busy periods
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurant service, or related roles is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage courteously with guests and team members
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- A friendly demeanour with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends if required
