In response to internal staffing changes, we are delighted to offer an opportunity to join St George’s Academy as an Enhanced Provision Lead. Based on the Ruskington Campus, the position provides an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work alongside our existing SEND team, supporting some of most vulnerable students.
- Working in conjunction with the Lead SENDCo and SLT to coordinate, organise and lead the Academy’s enhanced provision, managing the space on a daily basis.
- Working with individual / small groups of students having particular needs related to the four broad areas of need in line with the SEND CoP.
- Building trusting and supportive relationships with students and their families to improve access and outcomes through school.
- Providing support to the Lead SENDCO / Pastoral team / Teacher across a range of child-centred activities to promote child development, belonging and learning.
- Supporting improved attendance into school and access to the curriculum.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience in working with students of secondary school age and experience of or a willingness to train in order to offer specialist support to students presenting with SEMH challenges.
Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team is essential, as are excellent keyboard skills, accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work to deadlines / respond to changing circumstances. Experience of working in a similar role is desirable but not considered essential.
The ideal candidate will hold a minimum of NVQ Level 2 in learning support, or willingness to work towards, or be able to demonstrate equivalent qualification or experience in a relevant discipline for working with young people aged between 11-19.
Pay: £24,786.00-£26,887.00 per year
