Tax Manager – Accountancy Practice

Level: QBE / ATT / CTA (or experienced Senior ready to step up)
Hours: Full-time, office-based
A highly reputable and growing accountancy practice in Paignton is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join their team. Due to recent internal changes, the firm is now looking for a confident and technically strong tax professional to manage a varied portfolio and work closely alongside a Partner.
This is a client-facing role offering plenty of variety, responsibility, and genuine scope for long-term progression within the firm.
Manage and oversee a diverse portfolio of tax clients
Lead on corporation tax compliance, reviews, and advisory projects
Provide high-quality tax advice across a range of sectors and business sizes
Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor
Support the Partner with complex tax queries and strategic planning
Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance when required
Liaise with HMRC and ensure all submissions are accurate and compliant
Identify opportunities for tax efficiencies and added-value services
Strong experience within corporation tax is essential
Background in an accountancy practice or tax specialist firm
Confident communicator with excellent client-facing skills
Able to manage deadlines, work independently, and support senior stakeholders
High level of technical accuracy and attention to detail
CTA / ATT / QBE, or an experienced Senior looking to step into a management role
Salary up to £50,000 DOE
