E-Commerce & Operations Assistant
Location: Uxbridge, Middlesex
Salary: £24,500–£26,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:30am–6:00pm, with a 45-minute lunch break
Job Type: Full-time, permanent
Important Location Requirement
This is a fully office-based role and is not suitable for remote or hybrid working.
Applicants must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Uxbridge and be able to travel to work reliably each day.

We are a growing fashion and e-commerce business specialising in underwear, nightwear and loungewear, supplying major UK retailers and customers through our websites and leading online marketplaces.
We are looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic E-Commerce & Operations Assistant to join our team.
This is a varied, hands-on position combining order fulfilment, stock control, customer service, invoicing, e-commerce administration and general office support.
Picking, packing and despatching orders will form an important part of the role, so applicants must be comfortable carrying out practical duties alongside computer-based administrative work.
Previous experience is beneficial, but we are primarily looking for someone with excellent attention to detail, a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Process, pick, check, pack and despatch customer orders accurately.
- Process customer returns and exchanges.
- Receive, check and book in stock deliveries.
- Carry out stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Monitor stock levels across our websites and online marketplaces.
- Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Assist with invoicing, order paperwork and general administration.
- Assist with product listings and online marketplace administration.
- Respond professionally to customer enquiries by telephone and email.
- Help maintain an organised and efficient fulfilment and office environment.
- Support the wider team with general operational duties when required.
Essential Skills and Qualities
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good numeracy skills and confidence working with figures.
- A good general standard of education.
- Comfortable using computers, email, spreadsheets and online systems.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Reliable, punctual, hardworking and eager to learn.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable carrying out both practical fulfilment and office-based duties.
Desirable Experience
Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:
- E-commerce platforms or marketplaces such as Amazon, eBay, Shopify or Wix.
- Order processing, picking, packing or fulfilment.
- Stock control, inventory management or invoicing.
- Customer service, retail, logistics or office administration.
- Microsoft Excel or similar spreadsheet software.
Education
Applicants should ideally have GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics.
Further education or relevant training in business administration, e-commerce, retail, customer service, IT, logistics or accounting would be advantageous but is not essential.
