Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service while processing transactions accurately and efficiently. As a Cashier, you will play a vital role in creating a positive shopping experience for our customers.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases.
- Operate the till and handle cash, credit, and debit transactions with precision.
- Ensure the checkout area is clean, organised, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Address customer inquiries and resolve any issues promptly and courteously.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions and ensure all payments are processed correctly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
- Assist in restocking shelves and maintaining the overall appearance of the store as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a cashier or customer service role is preferred but not essential.
- Strong numerical skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays if required.
- A basic understanding of point-of-sale systems is advantageous but training will be provided.
