Overview:
Join our team at BrightLights Theatre School, an exciting and expanding children's theatre school with locations in Loughborough and Coalville in the East Midlands. We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Acting Teacher to inspire and educate our students in the art of performing arts.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging lessons that foster students' creativity and confidence in acting.
- Provide constructive feedback to students to help them improve their performance skills.
- Organize and oversee rehearsals for school productions, ensuring all students are prepared and confident in their roles, including directing end of year shows
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Stay updated on current trends and techniques in performing arts education to enhance teaching methods.
Requirements:
- BrightLights only employs professional performers to teach our students, whether that be current or ex performer. Please do not apply if you do not have professional performing experience.
- Experience as a Teacher in a performing arts setting is desired but not essential. The right candidate must have a passion for working with children and nurturing their talents.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit the needs of individual students.
- Knowledge of different acting techniques, vocal exercises etc
