Job Summary – Apartment Cleaning Operative
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and hardworking Apartment Cleaning Operative to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional cleaning and presentation standards across serviced apartments and residential accommodation, ensuring every property is guest-ready and maintained to the highest level. This role is ideal for individuals who take pride in their work, have excellent attention to detail, and are committed to providing a high-quality service within a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out full apartment cleans, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, living areas, and communal spaces, ensuring each property meets company and client standards.
- Prepare apartments for guest arrivals by making beds to a hotel standard, replenishing linen, towels, toiletries, and other guest amenities.
- Clean and sanitise all surfaces, fixtures, fittings, appliances, and high-touch areas using approved cleaning products and equipment.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and polish floors, ensuring all areas are free from dust, dirt, and debris.
- Inspect apartments after cleaning to ensure they are fully prepared for occupancy and report any maintenance issues, damages, missing inventory, or health and safety concerns to the Operations Team.
- Follow daily schedules, checklists, and company cleaning procedures to ensure all apartments are completed within allocated timeframes.
- Handle and transport cleaning equipment, chemicals, linen, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report any faults or shortages.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company health and safety procedures, COSHH regulations, and infection control standards.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service when interacting with residents, guests, clients, and colleagues.
- Support colleagues and supervisors with operational requirements to ensure smooth day-to-day service delivery.
Experience
- Previous experience in apartment cleaning, housekeeping, hotel housekeeping, serviced accommodation, or commercial cleaning is preferred.
- Knowledge of professional cleaning techniques, products, and equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and public holidays when required.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to delivering outstanding cleaning standards.
