SJK Healthcare Recruitment are now hiring experienced Healthcare Assistants for our client to work with in the NHS clients in Scotland area
Job Purpose
To provide compassionate, safe, and effective care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and other healthcare professionals.
The Healthcare Assistant supports daily activities, promotes patient dignity, and contributes to a positive care environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
\u2022 \u2022 Assist patients with personal care including washing, dressing, and toileting.
\u2022 \u2022 Support patients with mobility and help them move safely around the ward.
\u2022 \u2022 Monitor and record vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure.
\u2022 \u2022 Help serve meals and assist patients with eating and drinking.
\u2022 \u2022 Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in patient areas.
\u2022 \u2022 Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
\u2022 \u2022 Report any concerns about patient wellbeing to senior staff.
\u2022 \u2022 Follow infection control and safeguarding procedures.
\u2022 \u2022 Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges.
Person Specification

Able to assist with patient handling and mobility
Clear and compassionate communication -
Experience in patient-facing roles especially in ENT/ Ophthalmology

1 year plus Experience in NHS setting

Working Conditions
\u2022 Shift work including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
\u2022 Exposure to clinical environments and sensitive situations.
\u2022 Requires standing, walking, and assisting patients for extended periods.
