Job Summary
At the Swan Hotel & Spa we are seeking an experienced and highly organised Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance operations within our hotel . The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small team of maintenance assistants, ensuring the smooth running of all maintenance operations within our beautiful Lake District hotel. This role requires strong leadership and a solid maintenance background. The Maintenance Manager will play a vital role in maintaining operational efficiency, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives across our facilities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the maintenance team to ensure timely and effective completion of maintenance tasks.
- Develop, implement, and oversee preventative maintenance programmes to minimise downtime and optimise equipment performance.
- Manage projects related to equipment upgrades, repairs, or installations, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations by conducting regular inspections and risk assessments.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and equipment history for reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with other departments to plan maintenance schedules that minimise operational disruptions
- Provide training and guidance to team members to enhance their technical skills and safety awareness.
Requirements
- Proven management experience in a maintenance environment, with strong leadership capabilities.
- Demonstrable project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Extensive knowledge of general maintenance procedures
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Good communication skills
- Relevant qualifications in technical trades are preferred.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations applicable to industrial environments.
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience working as part of the maintenance department within a hospitality environment would be advantageous.
- Knowledge of pool plant rooms and operating procedures is higly desired
Pay: Up to £40,000.00 per year
