As Ruby's Newquay continues to grow, we're looking for enthusiastic, friendly and energetic Parlour Assistants to join our team.
Based in our largest parlour yet, you'll be part of a fast-paced environment serving luxury Cornish ice cream, handcrafted milkshakes, indulgent sundaes and speciality coffees to locals and visitors from around the world.
No two days are the same at Ruby's. One minute you'll be crafting the perfect cone, the next you'll be chatting with customers, recommending flavours or creating beautiful desserts that make someone's day.

The Role
As a Parlour Assistant, you'll help create the memorable customer experience Ruby's has become known for. From greeting customers with a smile to serving beautifully presented treats, you'll play a key role in ensuring every visit is a special one.
Shifts are flexible and will include weekdays, weekends and evenings, with our latest closing shifts finishing around 10:30pm during the summer season.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming customers with a warm and friendly attitude
- Scooping and serving luxury Cornish ice cream
- Preparing milkshakes, sundaes, coffees and other menu items
- Taking customer orders and processing payments
- Keeping displays stocked, clean and beautifully presented
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Restocking products and assisting with deliveries
- Helping keep the parlour organised throughout busy service
- Working as part of a supportive team to deliver outstanding customer service
- Creating a fun, welcoming atmosphere for every customer
What We're Looking For
- A positive, friendly and outgoing personality
- Excellent customer service skills
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment
- Flexible availability, including weekends and evening shifts
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Previous hospitality, retail, café or customer service experience is desirable but not essential, we're happy to provide full training for the right person.
