Registered Manager Residential & Dementia Care Home

We are seeking an exceptional Registered Manager to lead a well-established, family-owned residential care home providing high-quality care for older people, including those living with dementia.

The Role
As Registered Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the leadership, quality and day-to-day management of the home.
Working closely with a supportive senior leadership team, you will lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional care while ensuring the home remains safe, compliant, financially sustainable and inspection ready.
This is a hands-on leadership role where visibility, coaching and leading by example are essential.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
- Providing strong, visible leadership across the home.
- Delivering exceptional, person-centred residential and dementia care.
- Ensuring compliance with CQC regulations and all relevant legislation.
- Leading the home towards an Outstanding CQC rating.
- Developing, coaching and supporting your Deputy Manager and wider staff team.
- Creating a positive culture of accountability, continuous improvement and teamwork.
- Ensuring care plans, risk assessments and documentation remain accurate and person-centred.
- Managing safeguarding concerns, complaints and incidents appropriately.
- Maintaining excellent standards of governance and quality assurance.
- Managing recruitment, staffing, training, retention and performance.
- Supporting occupancy through excellent relationships with families, healthcare professionals and the local community.
- Managing budgets responsibly and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency without compromising quality.
- Promoting a warm, welcoming home where residents enjoy an excellent quality of life.
About You
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience as a Registered Manager within an elderly residential or dementia care setting.
- Is passionate about delivering outstanding care.
- Leads by example and enjoys being present within the home.
- Develops people and builds confident, high-performing teams.
- Is organised, proactive and solutions focused.
- Is confident managing safeguarding, complaints and regulatory compliance.
- Understands governance, quality assurance and continuous improvement.
- Builds positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals and external stakeholders.
- Has excellent leadership, communication and organisational skills.
- Is commercially aware and understands the importance of occupancy, effective resource management and financial sustainability.
Essential Requirements
- Previous Registered Manager experience within adult social care.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (or working towards).
- Eligible to register with CQC (or already registered).
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations, the Mental Capacity Act, DoLS and safeguarding.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability as required
- Participation in the management on-call rota
Experience:
- Registered Manager (Residential/Dementia Care): Minimum 2 years preferred
Licence/Certification:
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care (preferred)
- Full UK Driving Licence
