Stuart Wells are a leading and experienced specialist groundwater engineering company undertaking groundwater control and borehole testing services, predominantly within the UK Civil Engineering industry.
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team in a full-time role focused on the preparation and submission of environmental licence applications, ensuring compliance with relevant environmental regulations and industry standards.
The successful candidate will also support our Testing Services division, including the programming and coordination of groundwater sampling activities, liaising with clients, and managing laboratory testing schedules and results.
Based at our office in Shropham, Norfolk, this position would suit either a recent graduate with a relevant environmental, scientific or engineering degree, or an individual with some industry experience looking to further develop their career.
Duties to include:
- Compile and submit environmental licences and permit applications to regulatory authorities.
- Liaise and coordinate with regulators to support the successful approval of permits and licences.
- Develop and maintain project programmes ensuring submission deadlines are met.
- Work alongside technical and operations team to plan and deliver Testing Services projects.
- Coordinate our groundwater sampling including scheduling field activities and managing laboratory submission.
- Assist in the review of environmental monitoring data and laboratory results.
- Maintain accurate project records, work sheets and compliance documentation.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of company procedures and quality systems
Skills & Experience required:
- Managing multiple priorities and competing deadlines across several compliance and workstreams.
- The role requires a very high level of attention to detail.
- Good communication skills
- Experience of working with Environmental Agency permitting and or civil engineering quality management would be an advantage, but not necessary
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Salary
- £28,000.00-£32,000.00 per year depending on skill set and experience.
Working Hours
- Office: 08:00 to 17:00
- Full time, Permanent.
