As an SEN Primary Supply Teaching Assistant, you'll play a vital role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them build confidence, stay engaged, and achieve their potential. Working across local primary schools, you'll provide tailored support while assisting teachers in creating an inclusive and positive learning environment.

What You'll Be Doing
- Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) on a one-to-one basis and in small groups during literacy, numeracy and topic lessons.
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs and helping children access the curriculum.
- Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and make progress both academically and socially.
- Preparing learning resources and assisting with classroom organisation.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and providing calm, consistent support throughout the school day.
- Recording pupil progress and sharing observations with the class teacher and SENDCo where appropriate.
- Supervising pupils during break and lunchtime, ensuring a safe, supportive and positive environment.
- Working collaboratively with teachers and school staff to create an engaging, inclusive learning experience for all pupils.
What We're Looking For
- Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a school, nursery, childcare, coaching or similar setting is desirable.
- A caring, patient and adaptable approach to supporting young learners with a range of additional needs.
- Strong communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
- Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
- A good understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and child protection procedures.
- Experience supporting pupils with ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or other additional learning needs would be advantageous.
