Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Driver/Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling materials, operating forklift trucks, and maintaining smooth warehouse operations. Duties
- Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently to load, unload, and move materials throughout the warehouse
- Assist with shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate documentation and inventory control
- Manage materials handling using warehouse management systems to track stock levels and locations
- Conduct routine equipment inspections and perform minor repairs or report faults for maintenance
- Load and unload goods from lorries, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Organise storage areas to optimise space utilisation and facilitate easy access
- Support with stock replenishment, order picking, and packing processes as required
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklift trucks within a warehouse environment
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) is desirable
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic equipment repairs or troubleshooting
- Strong understanding of materials handling procedures and shipping & receiving protocols
- Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Basic maths skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical fitness with the ability to undertake heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking throughout shifts
- Awareness of health & safety standards in a warehouse setting

Pay: From £30,000.00 per year
