This is a fantastic opportunity to join a new Sodexo site from August, where the existing catering team will transfer across under TUPE arrangements, offering a smooth transition into a well-established operation.
About the Role
As a General Catering Assistant, you'll play an important role in delivering high-quality food service while maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, food safety, and customer care.
You'll be a front-line ambassador for Sodexo, providing a professional, friendly, and welcoming service to pupils, staff, and visitors, while helping to create a positive dining experience every day.
What You'll Do

Assist with the preparation, presentation, and serving of food and beverages

Ensure all allergen procedures are followed to always keep customers safe

Support food service operations while maintaining excellent standards of hygiene

Serve customers in a friendly and professional manner, following portion control standards

Replenish service counters and food displays throughout the service period

Assist with receiving deliveries, checking temperatures, and storing stock correctly

Clean kitchen equipment, work surfaces, floors, fixtures, and fittings in line with cleaning schedules

Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and food safety compliance

Report customer feedback, incidents, or any food safety concerns promptly

Support special events and functions as required

Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an excellent catering service
