We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and creative Activities Coordinator to join our team at Haslingden Hall Care Home.

- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:00pm
- Some flexibility required for special occasions and events.About the Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering a varied programme of meaningful activities that promote residents' wellbeing, independence and quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and organise a varied programme of activities for residents
- Take time to understand residents' individual interests, hobbies and preferences
- Deliver activities that are suitable for different abilities and interests
- Organise group and one-to-one activities
- Encourage residents to participate while respecting their choices
- Organise entertainment, games, arts and crafts, music and social activities
- Arrange seasonal activities and special events
- Support celebrations such as birthdays and family events
- Encourage interaction between residents and help reduce social isolation
- Work with families and colleagues to identify activities residents will enjoy
- Support residents to maintain links with their local community
- Record and evaluate activities and residents' participation
- Ensure activities are delivered safely and appropriately
- Promote dignity, choice, independence and person-centred care at all times
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and enthusiastic
- Creative and full of ideas
- Patient and compassionate
- Confident communicating with older people
- Able to engage residents with different needs and abilities
- Organised and able to plan activities effectively
- Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team
Previous experience working in a care home or activities role is desirable, but a positive attitude, creativity and a genuine desire to make a difference are just as important.
