Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Cleaning Operative to join our team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave. This role is vital in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. As a Cleaning Operative, you will play a key part in ensuring high standards of cleanliness are consistently achieved, contributing to the overall well-being and satisfaction of staff and visitors alike. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas, including offices, restrooms, communal spaces, and corridors, following established protocols.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and products safely and effectively to deliver high-quality results.
- Maintain cleaning schedules and complete all required documentation accurately and promptly.
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap dispensers, and toilet roll to ensure continuous availability.
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards discovered during cleaning activities to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow health and safety guidelines rigorously to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as directed by management.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with the use of various cleaning equipment and chemicals is essential.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage daily tasks efficiently.
- Good communication skills to report issues clearly and work effectively within a team environment.
