Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and reliable Embroidery Machinist to join our Workwear Superstore team. This role involves designing and producing high-quality embroidered logos and customised workwear items, as well as supporting other customisation services and day-to-day store operations.
The ideal candidate will have proven machine embroidery experience, a good eye for detail, and a positive, customer-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate commercial embroidery machines to produce customised garments and logos
- Prepare, set up, and run embroidery jobs to a high standard of accuracy and quality
- Create and edit logo designs for embroidery and print using relevant software
- Carry out DTF (Direct to Film) printing and other garment customisation methods as required
- Ensure correct placement, sizing, and colour matching of logos and designs
- Perform routine machine maintenance and troubleshooting
- Quality check finished products before dispatch
Additional Duties
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, both in-store and over the phone/email
- Assist customers with logo setup, garment selection, and order queries
- Receive, check, and organise deliveries of stock and supplies
- Package finished items accurately and efficiently for dispatch
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area
- Support general store duties when required
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous embroidery machine experience is essential
- Experience with logo design software (e.g. Wilcom, Hatch, Adobe Illustrator or similar)
- Knowledge of DTF printing (preferred but training can be provided)
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to manage multiple orders and meet deadlines
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, organised, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Desirable (but not essential)
- Experience in workwear, garment printing, or textiles
- Understanding of different fabric types and garment finishes
- Retail or trade counter experience
Pay: £12.50-£13.70 per hour
