We are seeking a reliable and experienced Groundworker/Dumper Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating dumper trucks and assisting with groundworks on various sites. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to ongoing projects while developing your skills within the construction industry. The position is paid and suitable for individuals with relevant experience or those eager to learn.
Duties
- Operate dumper trucks safely and efficiently to transport materials around construction sites
- Assist with groundworks, including site preparation, excavation, and levelling tasks
- Ensure the safe loading and unloading of materials, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Maintain the cleanliness and basic maintenance of equipment used during shifts
- Follow site safety protocols at all times, including wearing appropriate PPE
- Support other team members with various site duties as required
Qualifications
- Valid CPCS or NPORS licence for dumper operation is preferred but not essential; relevant experience will be considered
- Proven experience operating dumper trucks within a construction environment
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures on construction sites
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
- Basic understanding of groundworks is advantageous but not mandatory
