Active Learning Sports is a well-established, family-run organisation with many years of experience of providing sports education to schools across the midlands. We have built a supportive , close-nit team culture that values relationships with our schools, well-being of our staff and a love for education.
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team to start the new school year SEPTEMBER 1st 2026 and be available to work Monday's, Tuesday's and Wednesday specifically but ideally be free Monday to Friday.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for coaching physical education and extra curricular sports to children aged from 3-11 years in a primary school setting and will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for each class or group.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high quality, whole class, PE lessons and extra curricular activities within a primary school setting
- Implement and adapt lesson plans from our curriculum that cater to the diverse needs of students from ages 3-11.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation and collaboration.
- Utilise innovative teaching techniques to engage students, particularly in sports coaching.
- Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide feedback to students and other staff.
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student development.
- Organise extra curricular activities that promote physical education and teamwork during term time with potential opportunities to coach holiday camps too.
Experience
- Proven experience (of at least 1 year) teaching or coaching whole classes in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong background in sports coaching or physical education is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to motivate and inspire students.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the varied ages and learning styles of students.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and improvement in educational practices.

Essential Requirements
- A valid driving licence
- Commitment to undertaking safeguarding and Paediatric First Aid training.
- An enhanced DBS check is mandatory as part of our safer recruitment process for individuals working in educational settings
Pay: £15.00-£20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 30 per week
