Pullman Dining Train Supervisor

Based in Grosmont
£13.65 per hour – depending on qualification and experience
Hours of work: Minimum 28 hours per week working – Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday, 8.30am to 4.00pm.
Contract: Fixed-Term to 30th September 2026.

What’s Involved
This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine hospitality expertise with technical knowledge in a unique setting, ensuring memorable experiences for all guests while maintaining operational excellence by
- Supervising the day-to-day delivery of our Pullman dining service in this hands-on role,
- Leading and supporting a team of stewards and volunteers to provide exceptional, silver-service standards
- co-ordinate an efficient meal service between the kitchen and dining carriages to fit our journey times
- help manage stock, cash handling and onboard standards
- support the delivery of charters
- deputise for the Pullman Team Leader when required.
- Own transport is essential due to the location at Grosmont (YO22 5QE).
Personal Specification
Essential
- Experience working in a fine dining restaurant environment
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a customer-facing supervisory role
- Strong communications and inter-personal skills
- Excellent customer service skills and people management skills
- Good organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Current Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate
- Confident in cash handling
