JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: PCB Assembler - Through Hole
Location: Royton, Lancashire
Reports To: Production Supervisor
General Description / Main Duties
- Building PCB’s (printed circuit boards) from kit form including cleaning and final assembly.
- Basic rework skills.
- Working with and soldering wire harnesses.
- Hand soldering.
- Flow soldering.
- Use of Cropmatic and pre-forming leaded components.
- Ensure a buddy check is carried out with Production Supervisor before starting kit.
- Ensure that Production Supervisor is aware of any BOM changes.
- Report all non-conformances to the Production Supervisor so all the relevant paperwork can be created for processing.
- Ensure all Health and Safety procedures are adhered to i.e. ensure walkways are left clear, all fire exits are accessible, individual working areas are clean and tidy and safe working practices are followed.
- Follow all of the policies and procedures set out in the UKE Employee Handbook.
- Complete all tasks to high standards whilst following ISO guidelines.
- Any other ad hoc duties as and when required.
Previous Experience / Educational Requirements
- Good knowledge of components is an advantage.
- IPC610 training would be beneficial but is not essential. A high level of workmanship is expected.
- Previous experience within the industry is essential.
