Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Assistant to join our team and provide nurturing care for children in a safe and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and creating a positive impact on their development.
This specific role is for someone to take a lead on the older children that we offer wrap around childcare for. These children attend 2 of our local schools within the catchment for the nursery. The ideal candidate needs to be pro-active, manage own time well and have a fun and bubbly personality!
Duties
- Provide attentive childcare to children of various ages
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to stimulate children's learning and development
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children under your care
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily activities and progress
- Maintain a clean and organised childcare environment
- Manage children's behaviour in a positive and constructive manner
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, and rest periods
- Drive children to and from school or other activities as required
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children is essential
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Leadership abilities to guide and engage children in educational activities
- Knowledge of early childhood education principles is advantageous

Pay: £8.00-£13.00 per hour
