Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and proactive Retail Sales Associate to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining attractive product displays, and driving sales through effective communication and upselling techniques. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries confidently
- Maintain organised merchandise displays in line with company standards
- Upsell products by highlighting features and benefits to maximise sales opportunities
- Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system, including handling cash and card payments
- Manage stock levels, organise stockroom areas, and assist with inventory counts
- Ensure the store remains clean, tidy, and welcoming at all times
- Utilise effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or enquiries
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and improve overall store performance
- Support merchandising activities to promote new products or seasonal items
Qualifications
- Fluency in English; proficiency in Spanish or other languages is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly, professional manner
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Basic maths skills for cash handling and transaction processing
- Experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
- Good organisational skills for maintaining neat displays and stock management
- Ability to work well within a team as well as independently when required
- Demonstrated phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers effectively
