Overview
We are seeking a proactive and personable Lettings Negotiator to join our dynamic property team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong communication skills and organisational abilities to develop their career within the lettings industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing property viewings, liaising with clients, and facilitating smooth rental transactions. Previous lettings experience is essential.
Duties
- Conduct property viewings and provide prospective tenants with comprehensive information about available properties
- Liaise effectively between landlords and tenants to negotiate rental terms and agreements
- Manage the entire lettings process from initial enquiry through to tenancy agreement completion
- Dealings with maintenance issues and liaising with contractors
- Maintain accurate records of all property listings, viewings, and negotiations using organisational systems
- Assist with administrative tasks such as preparing documentation, updating databases, and scheduling appointments
- Respond promptly to client enquiries via phone, email, or in person, ensuring high levels of customer service
- Support marketing efforts by promoting properties through various channels and maintaining online listings
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and company policies throughout all transactions
Qualifications
- Previous letting experience is essential
- Previous administrative experience is desirable but not essential; a strong organisational aptitude is required
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and colleagues
- Organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently under pressure
- Professional demeanour with a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Valid UK driving licence is essential
