As part of our 2026 expansion, we're on the lookout for a Credit Control & Payroll Coordinator to join our head office team!
The Role
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for staff, maintaining compliance with relevant regulations, managing the company’s credit control processes, and supporting a range of administrative and compliance-related tasks.
This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and a sound understanding of payroll procedures and credit management.

Key Responsibilities
- Payroll Administration and Reporting: Manage weekly payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely completion. process payroll figures and send them to key stakeholders, produce and maintain weekly digital payroll folders, manage cash advances and deductions, support branches with payroll-related inquiries, update and maintain payroll figures for various reports and audits.
- Credit Control: Chase outstanding debts, proactively contact customers to collect overdue payments, monitor aged debt, reconcile customer accounts, complete credit checks, set credit limits, allocate payments accurately, prepare regular aged debt and bad debt reports, and keep outstanding debt within agreed limits, highlighting concerns and establishing procedures to effectively manage debt levels.
- Client Invoicing and Finance Administration: Create permanent placement invoices and credit notes, manage client invoices related to payroll, handle neutral vendor clients and data validation, upload completed payroll to our invoice finance partner, send payroll to payroll providers, address and resolve payroll queries and issues.
- Payroll and Compliance Audits: Ensure compliance with all payroll-related legislation and company policies, participate in weekly audits to maintain accurate and compliant payroll records, and support the embedding and enforcement of compliance procedures across the payroll function.
- Broader Compliance Responsibilities: Conduct audits including client information and temporary worker packs, ensure ISO9001, GLAA, and GDPR compliance and manage the disposal of payroll, financial, and personal information in line with REC and GDPR requirements.
- Financial Reporting: Develop, produce, and maintain a suite of financial reports, ensuring all data is accurate, up to date, and aligned with business requirements. Analyse and present financial information to senior management on a regular and ad-hoc basis, highlighting key performance indicators, trends, and any areas of concern.
Qualifications and Experience
- Previous Experience in payroll administration or a similar role.
- Previous experience working in credit control.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance and software
- Previous administration experience.
- Competent with Excel and Microsoft.
