Job Summary
We are seeking a professional and personable Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, ensuring guests have a memorable dining experience. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in a busy restaurant environment. Previous experience in catering, hospitality, or food service is highly desirable, along with a strong commitment to food safety standards.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring special dietary requirements are noted
- Serve meals, drinks, and desserts efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Ensure tables are cleared promptly and reset for new guests
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including setting up tables and ensuring hygiene standards are met
- Handle customer queries courteously and resolve any issues promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Support baristas with beverage preparation during busy periods if required
- Uphold food safety regulations at all times, including proper handling and storage of food items
Requirements
- Previous experience in restaurant service or hospitality is preferred; barista experience is a plus
- Knowledge of catering and food safety standards
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to work shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- A proactive attitude with a keen eye for detail and presentation
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask effectively
