Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Gatehouse Security Officer to join our team at a client site in the Bamber Bridge, Preston area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of the site while ensuring all access control and site procedures are followed professionally and consistently.
Key Responsibilities
- Control access to and from the site.
- Greet and process visitors, staff, contractors, and delivery drivers.
- Accurately record personnel and vehicle details.
- Direct visitors and contractors to the appropriate areas.
- Maintain a safe and secure environment at all times.
- Prevent unauthorised access to the premises.
- Respond to incidents calmly and professionally.
- Assist with emergency and evacuation procedures when required.
- Professionally monitor CCTV.
- Conduct searches in accordance with company and site procedures.
- Complete relevant records, reports, and computer-based duties.
- Additional shifts may also be available at our Sawley site for applicants looking for extra hours.
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- A valid SIA Door Supervisor or Security Guard Licence. Applications without a valid SIA licence will not be considered.
- A full 5-year checkable employment and/or education history.
- Good computer literacy.
- A good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A professional, reliable, and proactive attitude.
