Callington, Cornwall — 30 minutes from Plymouth and Tavistock
We're looking for a Lead Dental Nurse to run the nursing team at our Callington practice. It's a hands-on role - you'll still be chairside most days - with real ownership of how the clinical side of the practice runs.
Already leading a team? Great. Not yet, but ready to? Also great - if you're a strong nurse who's been picking up more responsibility and wants the step up, we'll support you into it.

What you'll be doing
- Providing chairside support to our dentists, hygienists and therapists
- Leading the nursing team - rotas, cover, mentoring, dental nurse training and inductions
- Owning infection control and CQC compliance, including overseeing audits (HTM 01-05, radiography, clinical waste)
- Managing stock, PPE and equipment servicing, and liaising with suppliers
- Being the person patients and staff turn to when something needs sorting
- Working closely with the practice manager and clinicians to keep improving how we run
What we're looking for
- GDC-registered dental nurse
- At least 3 years' chairside experience
- Confident with infection control and CQC requirements
- Organised, calm under pressure, and genuinely good with people - patients and team alike
- Team leadership experience is welcome, but a real appetite to learn matters more
Useful but not essential: implants or sedation experience, or familiarity with Dentally, Trios/iTero scanners or digital radiography. We'll train you on everything else - including our in-house 3D printing
