AtkinsRéalis Geospatial Survey team uses advanced technology to transform raw survey data gathered from site into powerful decision-making tools. We offer a comprehensive range of survey and mapping services, from small scale ground-based survey to wide-area aerial 3D mapping. Our team works closely with clients to identify a data collection method that meets their project and cost requirements, and to deliver the insight they need; whether that be to inform the design of a new development, optimise the route of new infrastructure or update existing building or site records for asset management purposes.
As a Geospatial Surveyor with AtkinsRéalis, you'll take a leading role in delivering survey and mapping projects across some of the UK's most exciting infrastructure programmes. You'll plan and undertake site surveys, lead field teams, and use cutting-edge technologies to collect high-quality geospatial data. From fieldwork through to processing and final delivery, you'll transform complex survey data into 3D models, point clouds, accurate drawings and client-ready deliverables. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced surveyor looking to work on varied projects, develop their technical expertise and be part of an innovative, industry-leading geospatial team. Based in Bristol, Birmingham, Chelmsford, London or the South East, you'll be willing to travel nationwide, with occasional overnight stays and weekend works as required.
As a Geospatial Surveyor you will:

Deliver topographical, engineering and geospatial surveys across a range of infrastructure projects.

Capture accurate data using GNSS, total stations, laser scanners and digital levels.

Process survey data into 3D models, CAD drawings and client deliverables.

Support projects from planning and site work through to final delivery.

Maintain high standards of quality, safety and technical excellence.

Help drive innovation through your curiosity using modern surveying and reality capture technologies.
A successful candidate must have:

Experience as a Geospatial Surveyor, Land Surveyor, Engineering Surveyor or Topographical Surveyor.

A qualification in Geomatics, Surveying, Geospatial Engineering or a related discipline.

A proven ability to deliver high quality site surveys.

Hands-on experience with GNSS, total stations, laser scanners and digital levels. Use of UAV, GPR or mobile mapping would be advantageous.

Experience in topographical, highway, railway or utility surveying.

Strong skills in survey data processing, modelling and technical problem solving.

Experience producing 3D models and CAD drawings using AutoCAD or MicroStation.

A passion for reality capture and a keen interest in newly developing survey technologies.

Confidence leading site activities and building strong relationships with clients and colleagues.

A flexible approach to site work, travel and working in different environments.

A full UK driving licence.

Ambition to keep developing your surveying career including attaining professional qualifications – RICS, CICES or similar.
