Are you an experienced Customs Brokerage professional looking to develop your career with a growing and respected logistics business?
GBA Global Solutions is seeking a Customs Brokerage Executive to join our specialist Customs Control Tower team in Luton, supporting aerospace and time-critical logistics operations across the UK and worldwide.
As part of the GBA Logistics Group, we have been delivering innovative logistics solutions since 1987 and are proud to be one of the UK's leading independent logistics providers, with annual turnover exceeding £100 million.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing customs formalities across road, air and sea freight shipments, ensuring the compliant and efficient movement of goods through international borders.
Working within a fast-paced operational environment, you will liaise with customers, overseas agents, hauliers, customs authorities and internal teams to deliver outstanding service and maintain full customs compliance.
Key Responsibilities

Processing import and export customs declarations using CDS.

Managing transit movements and customs documentation.

Reviewing commercial documentation and customs entries for accuracy.

Providing customs and shipment updates to customers.

Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and company procedures.

Managing multiple customer requirements and operational deadlines.

Maintaining accurate operational and financial records. Manage and prioritize workload
- Manage group mailboxes and respond in a timely manner.
About you
We are looking for someone who has:
Previous customs brokerage, freight forwarding or logistics experience.
Good understanding of UK import and export procedures.
Experience using CDS.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
Strong attention to detail.
A proactive and customer-focused approach.
Desirable Experience
NCTS and transit procedures.
Commodity classification and tariff knowledge.
ASM and Boxtop systems.
Aerospace, aviation or time-critical logistics operations.
Resilient & Adaptable - Thrives in a fast-paced, changing environment where priorities can shift rapidly.

Additional Requirements
Right to work in the UK.
Five-year checkable employment history.
Ability to obtain aviation security clearance.
