Lead. Inspire. Make a Difference.
Hours of Work - 35 hours per week
Place of Work - East Renfrewshire, Mental Health Community Services
Salary - £28,501.20 per annum
Do you want to play a leading role in shaping innovative community mental health services that make a genuine difference every day?
RAMH is one of Scotland's leading third sector mental health organisations, supporting thousands of people each year to improve their mental health, wellbeing and recovery. We believe everyone should have access to compassionate, person-centred support at the right time, delivered by people who genuinely care.
We are looking for an experienced, motivated and inspirational Service Co-ordinator to join our Community Services leadership team.
Working alongside the Service Manager, you will provide operational leadership across our Community Services while taking the lead for the delivery and ongoing development of the Scottish Government's Distress Brief Intervention (DBI) Programme across Renfrewshire and East Renfrewshire.
This is far more than a coordination role.
It is an opportunity to influence how community mental health services are delivered, develop and inspire a skilled multidisciplinary team, strengthen partnerships across health, social care and emergency services, and ensure people experiencing emotional distress receive timely, compassionate and evidence-based support.
You'll lead a team committed to recovery, oversee complex referrals and risk management, support staff through coaching and supervision, champion quality improvement and use data, evidence and lived experience to continually develop services.
Alongside your leadership responsibilities, you will maintain a small practice caseload, ensuring your leadership remains grounded in direct service delivery and the experiences of the people we support.
No two days are the same. One day you may be supporting practitioners with complex clinical decisions, meeting with Police Scotland or Primary Care colleagues to strengthen referral pathways, reviewing service performance and leading quality improvement. The next you may be facilitating reflective practice, supporting someone in distress through the DBI programme or helping shape the future direction of Community Services.
What you'll bring
We're looking for someone who combines strong operational skills with compassionate leadership.
You'll be someone who:
- inspires confidence and motivates others
- enjoys developing people and helping teams succeed
- is passionate about recovery-focused, trauma-informed practice
- can confidently manage complexity, risk and competing priorities
- enjoys building strong partnerships across organisations
- uses evidence, data and reflection to improve services
- wants to influence how mental health services develop in the future.
Why join RAMH?
At RAMH you'll become part of an organisation recognised for innovation, partnership working and delivering high-quality community mental health support.
You'll have the opportunity to:
- Lead one of Scotland's nationally recognised DBI services.
- Shape the future development of Community Services.
- Influence local mental health pathways and partnership working.
- Develop and mentor an experienced and committed staff team.
- Work within an organisation that genuinely values learning, innovation and continuous improvement.
- Make a lasting difference to the lives of people experiencing mental health difficulties and emotional distress every single day.
If you are an experienced practitioner who is ready to step into a key leadership role where you can influence services, develop people and improve lives, we'd love to hear from you.
