Please note this position includes travel as it covers North England & North Wales with primary locations being Catterick, Newcastle, Preston, Chester & Anglesey also travel, nights away and hybrid working. Driving licence is essential.
HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week
Join our vibrant, inclusive community in Complex Facilities to join our Regional Accommodation Maintenance Service (RAMS) contract, part of the MOD's Future Defence Infrastructure Services (FDIS).
This position plays an important role delivering the Regional Accommodation Maintenance Services contract. Your duties will be to improve the quality of customer service and contract compliance through effective and collaborative supplier relationship management and lead their service delivery team of Amey staff to ensure all targets are met in a safe and compliant way. Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
What you will do:

Supporting the delivery of internal quality/compliance standards, complaints and feedback KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) along with the customer experience and satisfaction.

Develop and maintain close working and effective relationships with the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) staff, Occupancy Groups and other stakeholders to provide professional and technical advice as required.

Using the full power of the available analysis and feedback, provide advice, insights and training to drive innovation and improve performance activities throughout the region.

Monitor the supply chain asset management performance to ensure that asset data is effectively captured.

Work in collaboration with other managers within the region to provide a consistent approach to deliver service excellence across the Area. Seek continual improvement through innovation, staff development and process refinement.

Ensure all staff involved in the delivery of the RAMS contract adopt a continuous improvement mind-set with a focus on improving the lived experience for Service Family Accommodation (SFA) occupants.

Lead and mentor a team of Local Client Account Managers and Customer and Community Engagement Officers to ensure they continually strive to exceed target levels of performance and customer and community engagement.

Establish and develop a Weekly Regional Performance Meeting with DIO to ensure the planning and monitoring of service delivery is completed in a collaboratively way.

Support the whole workforce in adapting to both Amey and DIO values. The Principal Operations Manager will also act as the Regional Champion for the DIO value of Enthusiasm.

Work with the supply chains to establish any forecasted delays or potential deterioration in KPI performance and mitigate risk through contingency planning. Where required lead the agreement and execution of mitigations.

This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
What makes this role unique is you will manage service delivery of all maintenance and response works in accordance with statutory legislation and MOD Mandatory requirements, complying with all Health and Safety and Environmental standards and policies.
What you will bring:
Experience in driving change in an operational environment. Agile and proactive capable of delivering positive outcomes in a rapidly changing environment with previous experience as a coach and mentor.

Level 5 Leadership and Management qualified or equivalent experience

Management level qualification in H&S and Environment (e.g. SMSTS)

Practical experience in property maintenance or related field.
