Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nursery Manager to lead and oversee the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and supporting their early development. Duties
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Lead, motivate, and supervise nursery staff to deliver high-quality childcare and early childhood education programmes
- Develop and implement engaging activities that promote children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain effective communication with parents, carers, and staff to foster a supportive community atmosphere
- Oversee staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to ensure a skilled and motivated team
- Organise schedules and allocate resources efficiently to meet the needs of children and staff
- Ensure health, safety, and hygiene standards are upheld at all times within the nursery environment
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and operational efficiency
Experience
- Proven management experience within a nursery or childcare setting(Minimum level 3)
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and guide a team
- Extensive knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations
- Experience working directly with children across various age groups
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transportation responsibilities or outreach activities
- Previous experience in childcare or nursery environments is essential for understanding operational requirements
