Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Workshop Mechanic and become a vital part of our maintenance and repair operations. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our workshop running smoothly, supporting operational excellence across our facilities. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your technical skills in a fast-paced environment where proactive problem-solving and attention to detail are highly valued. You must have good customer service skills, and you would be working on customers vehicles along with repairing/maintaining our own fleet of assistance vehicles. We are equipped with a large range of tools, along with 2 workshops and vehicle lifts.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment.
- Perform repairs, replacements, and routine maintenance on mechanical and electrical components to ensure vehicles/equipment operates efficiently.
- Utilize technical manuals and/or diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems accurately.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance activities, and inspection results for accountability and future reference.
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all repair activities to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members to prioritize repair tasks and improve workshop processes for increased efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a mechanic or technician in a workshop setting.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical principles, wiring diagrams, and circuit testing procedures.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions for extended periods.
