To provide services in Obstetrics and Gynaecology across the 2 sites of Doncaster Royal Infirmary & Bassetlaw District General Hospital in accordance with evidence based practice. The successful candidate will also be expected, to participate in clinical audit, the teaching of trainees and maintenance of our high standard of medical practice.
A vacancy has arisen in the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department at Doncaster & Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust due to gaps in our current rotation to which we wish to appoint 2 Fixed Term Locally Employed Doctors of ST6-8 equivalent level. There is potential for these posts to be Clinical Fellows. If interested, please discuss further at interview. This post is to cover a full rota, including nights and weekends on a 1:8 cycle.
There will be opportunity to have one fixed special interest session.
To maintain the highest clinical standards
To provide labour ward on-call cover on the registrars rota as second on-call
To provide cover for a wide variety of Antenatal and Gynaecology clinics & theatres.
To work with colleagues, both medical and allied health professionals to improve and advance the service.
To share with colleagues the responsibility for the management of the Department.
To share with colleagues the responsibility for teaching and training of trainees, residents, nursing staff, primary care colleagues and medical students.
To have responsibility for ensuring active participation in continuing professional development (CPD).
