Overview
We are seeking a skilled Coded TIG/MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in TIG welding and be proficient with various fabrication techniques. This role involves working with sheet metal, assembly, and using a range of hand and power tools to produce high-quality welded components. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with mechanical knowledge and a keen eye for detail to contribute to our specialised projects.
Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on various materials, primarily sheet metal, ensuring precise and durable welds
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine welding requirements
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble components
- Conduct quality checks on welded parts to meet safety and quality standards
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts as required
- Troubleshoot welding issues and perform basic maintenance on equipment
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding; MIG welding experience is also desirable
- Coded or ASME9 skills
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques
- Strong understanding of welding principles specific to <LOCATION> welding standards
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Experience working with sheet metal and performing assembly tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality standards
Pay: £18.00-£21.00 per hour
