The Coed-y-Mwstwr Hotel, a charming Victorian mansion nestled on a serene, wooded hillside in Bridgend, is searching for passionate Head of Housekeeping to join our team. What does work as a Housekeeper look like:
Leadership: Lead and inspire the housekeeping team, assigning tasks, managing rotas, and optimising staffing and payroll.
You will collaborate with reception and maintenance to manage room allocations, upgrades, and repair needs.
Creating Comfort: You will conduct daily room and public area inspections to ensure standards are consistently exceeded. Ensure rooms and public areas are impeccably clean, safe, and welcoming – transforming the ordinary into the extraordinary.
Health & Safety: Follow all safety and sanitation procedures with 100% compliance, including COSHH, Manual Handling, and Fire Safety standards.
Team Support: Collaborate with reception, maintenance, and other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
Green Mindset: Support sustainable practices and help us reduce our carbon footprint.
Responsibilities: Maintain stock of linens, guest amenities, and cleaning supplies, and promptly report any maintenance issues.

Team Champion: You will have the ability to lead by example and work well within a passionate team, operating effectively under pressure, and maintaining a positive, can-do attitude.
Development: You will desire to be the best you can be in your role as a Head of Housekeeper and will have a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
Organisation and Attention to Detail: You will have strong attention to detail, and have the ability to be organised.
