Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced waiting staff member to join our dynamic hospitality team. Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and seat them promptly, creating a welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS (Point of Sale) systems and relay them efficiently to kitchen staff
- Serve food and drinks with professionalism, ensuring presentation standards are met and guests’ needs are promptly addressed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables, dining areas, and service stations throughout your shift
- Provide detailed menu descriptions, recommend specials, and upsell items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation, serving, and handling processes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate timely delivery of orders and manage any special dietary requests or allergies
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve multiple tables efficiently without compromising quality of service
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks when necessary, supporting overall restaurant operations
- Handle guest inquiries or complaints professionally, resolving issues swiftly to ensure satisfaction
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hospitality or restaurant service roles, with a focus on guest interaction and service excellence
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling and hygiene
- Familiarity with serving techniques, menu presentation, and upselling strategies
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs
- Experience working in a kitchen environment or culinary background is a plus
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during busy shifts
- Exceptional guest service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude that fosters positive experiences
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while maintaining professionalism under pressure
