Electrical Mobile Services Engineer
Location - Northeast
We're looking for an experienced Mobile Services Engineer to join our Northern Regional Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an electrically biased engineer who enjoys variety, working across multiple client sites and solving technical challenges while maintaining essential building services infrastructure.
Based primarily in North Tyneside, with occasional travel to Harrogate and other sites across the North, you'll play a key role in delivering a first-class maintenance service as part of our highly skilled engineering team.
The Role
As a Mobile Services Engineer, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive maintenance and minor works across a portfolio of client sites. Working within a multi-skilled team, you'll ensure electrical and mechanical building services equipment operates safely, efficiently and in line with contractual service levels.
Key Responsibilities

Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across a range of building services systems.

Respond to reactive maintenance requests and emergency breakdowns.

Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on electrical equipment.

Support minor installation and project works.

Complete inspections and ensure statutory compliance.

Record all work electronically using a tablet or smartphone.

Maintain accurate site records and asset documentation.

Identify opportunities to improve equipment performance and reduce energy consumption.

Build strong relationships with clients through excellent customer service.

Work safely and ensure compliance with all health, safety and company procedures.

Participate in an on-call rota as required.
About You
You'll be a qualified electrical engineer with a proactive approach to maintenance and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. You'll be comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative engineering team.
Essential Skills & Experience

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).

Current 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).

Experience maintaining electrical building services within commercial, industrial or critical environments.

Good understanding of mechanical building services.

Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Good IT skills with experience using electronic maintenance management systems.

Full UK driving licence.
Desirable

City & Guilds 2391 or 2394/2395 Inspection, Testing and Certification.

Low Voltage Authorised Person status, or willingness to work towards accreditation.

Relevant Health & Safety qualifications.

Experience working within critical or regulated environments.
