Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and energetic Stores Operative and Delivery Driver to join our dynamic team. This dual-role position offers the opportunity to contribute to efficient warehouse operations while delivering exceptional service to our customers. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for managing stock in the warehouse and ensuring timely, safe deliveries. Your proactive approach and excellent communication skills will help us maintain high standards of safety, accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
Duties
- Safely operate delivery of plumbing and heating items, including transport goods to various locations
- Load and unload stock with care, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring items are secure for transit
- Assist in warehouse duties such as stock management, inventory checks, and organizing storage areas
- Follow all safety protocols during loading, unloading, and driving activities to prevent accidents or damage
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driver role
- Valid driver’s license
- Prior warehouse experience is highly desirable, especially involving heavy lifting and stock management
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy items safely and efficiently
- Knowledge of driving regulations and safety standards for commercial vehicles
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to delivering excellent service at all times
