The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting production processes, ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards, and maintaining high-quality output. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills within the manufacturing industry, with on-the-job training and opportunities for additional skills training offered.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor production equipment in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist in the manufacturing, packaging and labelling of products, adhering to specified standards.
- Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure product consistency.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area, including sanitising equipment and surfaces.
- Support with inventory management, including stock rotation and recording materials used.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors promptly.
Requirements
- Previous experience in production or manufacturing is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high standards of hygiene and product quality in line with brand reputation .
- Ability to carry out repetitive tasks to a high standard.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow strict recipes, procedures and protocols while adhering to correct use of machinery and PPE.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long periods of time.
- Some manual handling is required (including but not limited to the lifting of 25kg sacks of ingredients and the lifting/sorting of master cartons of product)
- Due to the rural location of our business, a driver's licence is essential as we have no public transport links.
- Available for 8-hour shifts which will fall between 6am-6pm.
Additional Information
- Monthly pay, £26,500 per annum based on 40 hours per week.
- Monday - Friday.
- Both part-time and full-time roles available between 24 - 40 hours per week.
- Paid lunch break.
- Initial holiday allowance of 23 days per full holiday year, plus bank holidays. Additional holiday day per year of service (up to 5 years).
- Full factory closure for Christmas period.
- Cycle to work scheme.
Pay: £26,500.00 per year
