Highway maintenance Company requires an experienced HGV Class 2 driver to operate specialist resurfacing equipment which is lorry mounted.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate bitumen sprayer tankers safely and efficiently.
- Carry out bond coat, tack coat and surface dressing applications to specification.
- Drive HGV vehicles to and from customer sites across the UK.
- Complete daily vehicle and plant inspections.
- Carry out basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment.
- Accurately complete job sheets, delivery paperwork and defect reports.
- Work closely with site supervisors and surfacing teams.
- Ensure all works are carried out safely and in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Maintain excellent standards of housekeeping and presentation of vehicles and equipment.
- Represent Mackness Contracting professionally whilst on customer sites.
Essential Requirements
- HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- CSCS Card.
- Good understanding of highways maintenance and road surfacing operations.
- Willingness to work days, nights and occasional weekends.
- Flexible attitude and able to work nationwide when required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience operating bitumen sprayers.
- Experience in road surfacing or highway maintenance.
- NHSS Passport.
- Safety Critical Medical.
- CPCS/NPORS Plant qualifications.
- HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) Licence.
- ADR qualification (advantageous but not essential).

Working Pattern
