Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Customer Support and Engagement Worker to join our dynamic team to provide a welcoming, professional and customer-focused service at the community centre during evening opening hours. The Customer Support and Engagement Worker will be the first point of contact for visitors, supporting reception operations, managing bookings, promoting centre activities, gathering information for monitoring and evaluation, and ensuring the building is safely secured at the end of each shift.
Duties
- Welcome visitors and provide a friendly, professional reception service.
- Manage room bookings, enquiries and administrative tasks.
- Signpost customers to activities, groups and community services.
- Support the promotion of centre activities and events.
- Build positive relationships with customers and community groups.
- Collect attendance information, feedback and other data to support evaluation and reporting.
- Ensure the reception area and public spaces are maintained to a high standard.
- Follow health and safety procedures and report any issues or concerns.
- Lock up and secure the building at the end of each shift.
Desirable Experience
- Customer service or reception experience.
- Experience working in a community, charity or public-sector setting.
- Experience gathering customer feedback or monitoring information.
- Knowledge of local community services and activities.
As the first point of contact for visitors, you will play a key role in ensuring everyone receives a warm welcome and has a positive experience at the centre. You'll manage reception duties, coordinate bookings, provide information on activities and services, support data collection for reporting and evaluation, and take responsibility for securing the building at the end of each evening.
Pay: Up to £13,988.00 per year
